The desk was massive and mahogany, covered with leather accessories. It was beautiful and stunningly crafted and likely no one had ever sat in the leather chair behind it.
"Mallorie and I have known one another since... she was a freshman in college." He smiled fondly thinking about it. "I was a visiting speaker and she attended my lecture. We had dinner after," he said, not saying more about it than that.
"I wouldn't call it love. I don't think the two of you have been together because Cobb wouldn't keep you around. It is obvious she adores you, and I'm willing to bet you feel the same about her. Am I right?"
