After certain delightful interludes in the office, as well as teasing the pointman rather mercilessly on the plane ride back to Malibu through teasing looks and comments that wouldn't mean much to anyone but him and Arthur, Tony found himself ready to do nothing but avoid work.

Which left him in a precarious position because he wasn't entirely trying to avoid Arthur.

Sleeping in, he had taken calls he couldn't avoid, made one to Mal that revealed nothing but was designed to ensure she wanted to know more. Having planted that idea in her head, he considered his options. In the end, he went down to the lab.

Surrounded by work, by Dummy and parts and things that could well explode, the chances were good that even if Arthur did seek him out, this would not be a place for the sort of work they were meant to do. It wasn't that he didn't want his mind militarized and protected to keep the suit safe. It was that he was certain that Arthur would do his job, do it quickly and efficiently, and he wasn't quite sure he was ready to let him leave his life. Not yet.

He hummed as he was brought flush back against Tony's body and tilted his head back on Tony's shoulder. "Is behaving in your vocabulary," Arthur asked with a wicked smirk, pressing back against him. Arthur licked his lips and moaned softly, knowing in the back of his mind that he would have a good few marks on him come later this evening.

Tony paused at that, seeming to take the time to consider it. "Hrm." That seemed to stump him, chuckling wickedly as he lightly bit and suckled the lobe of Arthur's ear.

"You know, I'm not even sure what this word is you're speaking of. Behave. What is this? Is it some kind of torture?"

When Tony didn't respond for a long minute, Arthur's grin grew even larger. He groaned softly at the bite and the warm and wet suction of Tony's mouth. "Mm, exactly what I thought," he said, his voice taking on a lower tone.

"You don't seem upset by that," he pointed out, licking just beneath his ear. "In fact," he said, knowing it wasn't true. "I get the feeling you're trying to encourage me to do wicked things to you. Is that true," he asked, blowing over the wet skin.

Despite himself, Arthur chuckled. "Mm, well -- for right now, I am encouraging you to do wicked things to me and I hope that you would follow through. Tomorrow -- will be a different story," or so he kept telling himself.

"Really? Will it," he asked, hand sliding lower so his fingers dipped beneath the waistband of Arthur's shirt. "I'm curious how they'll be different," he asked, tongue tracing the shell of Arthur's ear.

Arthur licked his lips and moaned softly. It admittedly took him a moment or two to gather his thoughts. "Alright, I'll probably still want you to do wicked things to me," he admitted. "Mm, but, tomorrow we're working and there won't be any of this until we've completed that for the day."

"Wait, let me get this straight. So if we get the days sessions done first things, I can spend the rest of the day tormenting you as I want to," he asked, loving the idea of playing someone that makes him smile. It had been a long time since he'd enjoyed such time with another.

Since they had stepped into the bedroom, Arthur hadn't really been paying much attention to anything other than Tony pressed flushed against his back. And that still remained true. He didn't see why they wouldn't be able to enjoy themselves after work. He was punctual and efficient but it didn't mean that he didn't know the difference between work and play, despite popular belief from many of his co-workers. Besides, it had been quite a while since he'd enjoyed his time like this with someone he was romantically and sexually attracted to.

He nodded. "Exactly," he said and tilted his head to glance back at Tony. "We have an agreement?"

Tony’s fingers brushed over that low spot on Arthur’s stomach, teasing at smooth skin as if memorizing how he felt against his fingers. He considered how much he was letting himself enjoy this, if it was too much when he knew it would end. Funny how he didn’t even think once about having an illicit affair with a man when he hadn’t let himself indulge in that way for so long.

He trusted Arthur. Standing there now, having him in his room, his lab, Tony knew that to be true. Now to get through the week and let it be just that and be happy with what it was.

Leaning down, he brushed his lips against the corner of Arthur’s mouth. “We have a deal, Sir.”

For now, Arthur was only looking at the week(s) ahead. Whether or not this would continue past that, Arthur wasn't sure. There was something about Arthur that hoped it would, hope that this could be something but you didn't always get very far with merely hope. Tony Stark was a man who was publicly known world wide and Iron Man even more so. Arthur -- his entire job and life was so far removed from the public eye, he might as well be in witness protection. Okay, perhaps not to that extreme but the thought was there. They would talk about it when they came to it but until then, Arthur was going to indulge.

His lips curled up at the soft kiss. "Now can we get to the point where you kiss me, make me moan and whimper your name," he asked with a wicked little look. He was tempted to turn in Tony's arms again, much like had down in the lab, but he liked the feeling of Tony's hand on his stomach, feeling his fingers brush his bare skin.

"Wait, what part?"

He smiled at that, pulling back slightly as if considering what it was that Arthur was talking about. He frowned, head canting to one side as if trying to think of what he was asking.

"Are you so certain we're moving on to that part? I thought we were waiting and seeing what happened?" Yet he knew he wouldn't, didn't want to. If he only had a week or so, he didn't want to wait. He wanted to have time with him, to have him and do whatever they could. Otherwise he risked just accepting that, in the end, he'd tease Arthur and then one day he'd be up and gone.

His fingers tucked at the hem of Arthur's shirt. "Take it off."

Arthur tilted his head to look at the older man and bit on his bottom lip. They had talked about seeing how wound up Tony could get him today but he couldn't stop thinking about Friday night and the teasing and the looks. "Well, unless of course, you do want to see how tightly wound I can get by tonight." Or tomorrow. There was a certain level of delight in waiting.

He hummed when Tony started to tug on the hem of his shirt. It took nearly no time at all to step out of Tony's arms and remove his shirt. He did turn to face him then, to look at him with darkening eyes. "Do you want to wait?"

Regardless if he would admit it or not, Arthur was thinking along the same lines as Tony was. They had a short amount of time together and he wanted to take advantage of that time before he woke up one morning and either Tony was bored and found someone else or he had to leave and go on a job. Either were fairly likely to be honest.

"Well, I'm thinking? You should go with me to dinner tonight. Public place but not a dinner party with the kind of insanity there was before. Just you and I, and screw the tabloids thinking it is anything but business. Of course, I say that but I plan to rent the place out for you and I. For your protection," he offered with a smile. "So I want you wound up for that," he admitted, showing his hand for just what it was he wanted.

But then he was naked and he sighed. "I want that. I want to play. I want my time with you. I never take time with anyone but I want it with you," he admitted, feeling like he was admitting too much.

Arthur couldn't help but smile. "Yeah? I'd like that." He couldn't remember the last time he had been out to dinner with someone like that and there had never been a time when someone rented out an entire restaurant for such event.

Tony was starting to make Arthur want all the things that he had never truly allowed himself to want or have. Least not while he did what he did in his career. Arthur felt a little naked, standing there shirtless in front of Tony and just wanting everything that he talked about. He leaned in and press a kiss to his jaw. "Then -- let's take our time," he whispered. "Play, learn, explore." Whatever that entailed.

Waiting...he could wait.

It was the same for Tony. This was a moment of allowing himself so much he had never had before. Of just spending time with someone that wasn't Pepper or Rhodey, that maybe he would one day reveal to the world.

That the very thought came to him stunned Tony. He wanted more time with Arthur. A lot more time with him.

"So tonight we'll have dinner and wine and then I'll probably take you in public. Or in the car. All because I can," he murmured. "If you let me," he added though, with a grin.

Arthur couldn't help himself, he chuckled at the last part and leaned forward to rest his forehead against the older man's. "If I let you," he agreed with a grin. In all honesty, he probably would so long as he knew they wouldn't be caught doing it. When Tony took him on the desk just feet away from the party on Friday evening -- well, perhaps he had a little bit of a kink with semi/near public sex. "Considering how Friday went..." he trailed off. It wouldn't be hard to connect the dots though. He had fully allowed Tony to undress him and take him then.

Tony was definitely counting on that kink paying off. A kink he hadn't asked about but he assumed. What else was he to think about their first time and how it had gone down. "You like it. Public. Us. Playing. Same as I do. I'm betting you and I aren't that different. So we can indulge in that, right? Never do this together, with others like this, so we have a life we can share for what time we can. About it," he asked, curious.

His lips quirked up. "No, you're right about that," he admitted. He did like it. He liked playing with Tony in public and hearing him whisper things to him and indulging himself in what they obviously shared together. Arthur nodded and licked at his lips. "Let's indulge," he smirked. "Just better take me to a good restaurant." Though, honestly, he wasn't too particular about where they ate. He had the odd suspicion that food would be the last thing on his mind tonight.

His fingers brushed slightly lower and then withdrew to slow stroking up the length of Arthur’s chest. “Oh you’re indulging me. You know there are those that wouldn’t recommend that as a course of action. Something about believing I shouldn’t be encouraged and I’ll take advantage of it,” he teased, turning Arthur to face him. “I’ll take you to the best,” he promised. ”Since you’ll already be with the best,” he added, unable to help himself.


“Course, that does leave us with the question of what to do with the rest of our day.”

Arthur took a shuddering breath and licked his lips. "I'm certain that most people would recommend me not indulging you," Arthur smirked, looking at him after Tony turned him around. "If you didn't take advantage, I'd be even more surprised." He smirked and shook his head with a chuckle. "Is that right?"

"First, I'm going to put on a shirt," he mused then thought about it. "Well, there is the beach, you could show me around Malibu, you can return to the lab and I'll look around Malibu a bit..." Those were some of the ideas he had before he found Tony in the lab -- he didn't have very many options thought of.

"Never ask Pepper. She will first and foremost tell you not to indulge me. Ever. Her entire goal in my life, other than taking care of me, is to try and keep me from having fun," he said, smiling. "And you can't deny I'm the best. If you aren't sure of it yet, you will be." Of that Tony had no doubts. He wanted to show him so much. Including...

"Do you want to see Malibu alone? It's different than seeing it with me."

Arthur chuckled and sent him an amused smirk. "Perhaps, or she's trying to make sure you don't hurt yourself." From what he had experienced, Tony was already right up near the top of his list of best lovers that he's had. But he wasn't going to tell him that just yet. Let him wait.

He shook his head. "No, I want to see it with you. Assuming, of course, you want to show me Malibu," his lips quirked up.

“As if that’s going to happen,” he said with a snort. “Please. If I’m not being blown up or shot at, we all should just assume I’m doing well,” he said, finger tapping the arc reactor for emphasis. “Nor should anyone worry or assume that you, of all people, is out to hurt me. One, Mallorie recommended you. Two, you’re not the type.” He held up a hand. “And before you argue that, I will win this argument. You’re just not.” Of that he was willing to stake his life, and he was. Or at the very least, his sanity.


“Course I do. If only to ensure you come back here tonight and not head out with a couple of blond hard bodies,” he teased. “The babes here in Malibu are without compare in the world.” He looked Arthur over slowly. “At least for their women.”

Arthur chuckled and looked at the arc reactor, his fingers lifting up and tracing over it before he realized it. He glanced up at Tony once he realized what he was doing and raised his eyebrows. He was just about to open his mouth and argue that before Tony continued on. He smiled. "You think you know me so well," he said, his voice taking on a teasing tone.

"Why go out with a couple of 'blond hard bodies' when I have the best," he asked, smirking. He watched as Tony looked him over slowly and allowed his tongue to slip out and lick at his lips. "And the men?" His eyes were twinkling as he looked at him.
